GPS Surveys

Global Positioning System (GPS) provides highly accurate coordinates for survey points and in many instances proves much faster than conventional surveying techniques. CNA has been performing GPS surveys for decades and is one of the few companies in California to operate its own high precision grade GPS base station that’s tied to a real-time network, which is extremely efficient. We use GPS whenever practical to increase accuracy and productivity for both geodetic control surveys and construction staking. CNA’s survey crews consider GPS as a significant resource and use this method of surveying whenever it is feasible. A vast amount of data can be acquired over a large area that can be connected to GIS information attributes for index and mapping solutions.
